Mary Tyler Moore to get SAG Existence Achievement Award
Actor-producer Mary Tyler Moore will get the Screen Stars Guild's 2011 Existence Achievement Award, the union introduced today. The recognition is offered yearly for an actor who demonstrates the "finest beliefs in the acting profession." During the period of her career, Moore has received an Academy Award nomination, a Tony Award, and seven Emmys. Her production company MTM Businesses created several famous television programs, including "The Bob Newhart Show," "WKRP in Cincinnati," and "St. Elsewhere," in addition to her very own "Mary Tyler Moore Show." Moore can also be an enthusiastic philanthropist and can serve as the worldwide chairman from the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
